Organizing a presentation
When you are working with your presentation you can choose from
various ways to view the slides you are creating. These include
the Outline view, Slide Sorter view, Creating a Slide Show, and
Running a Slide show. To switch between these views, choose the
appropriate icon from the lower left of your screen: .
As you rest your mouse cursor over each little icon, a window will
pop up that tells you which view it is for.
- The Outline view has been
discussed. It allows you to directly
edit the text of a slide while the slide itself is minimized.
This allows you to concentrate on the content and not appearance
of your presentation.
- The Slide view shows a single
slide as it will look in the presentation. You can work directly
on the slide in this view.
- The Slide Sorter view displays
thumbnail size images of each slide so that you can look at many
at once. From this view you can drag an drop slides to change
the order in which they appear. To edit a slide, double-click
on it and the view will switch to the Slide view.
- The Slide Show view expands
your presentation to fill your entire screen with a slide. To
advance to the next slide, click anywhere on the screen. To return
to PowerPoint, hit Esc.
