as well to other courseware packages. Some tips have more to do
with web design issues while others are more pedagogical in nature.

and con's of distance learning. Rather, they just want know how
to get started. This paper provides a quick overview of some of
the lessons gleaned from distance learning research and some simple
do's and don'ts, including use appropriate media, properly test
course materials, and remember that teaching online will take
more time than you think. Don't use technology for technology's
sake, forget the personal touch, and expect that once you've developed
